1. About this policy
Khbich ENSTTIC is a student platform of learning resources for ENSTTIC students. This policy explains which information is used when you browse the site, use the Android app, sign in with Google or use the Learning Space.
The site is run as a student project. No company, physical address or separate legal entity is named in the project.
2. Information collected
Depending on the features you use, Khbich ENSTTIC may process the following information:
- Google account information used to sign in: name, email address, profile photo and session identifier.
- The account’s role in Khbich ENSTTIC, for example user, student, moderator or administrator.
- Learning Space data: chosen year or speciality, semester, progress, XP, activity streaks, quizzes, tasks, completed chapters, Pomodoro sessions and notes.
- Learning Space note text: the title and content of notes saved in the Khbich database.
- Attachment metadata: file name, MIME type, size, Google Drive identifier and date added.
- Contributions: the title, description, year, document type and file metadata of what you send from the Contribute page, and the team’s decision.
- Technical data needed to run the site, such as sessions, server error logs and information needed for security.
- Audience measurement: pages viewed and technical browser information, through Google Analytics.
3. Google Sign-In
Khbich ENSTTIC uses Google Sign-In to give access to accounts. When you sign in, the site asks for the standard Google permissions email and profile. This information is used to create or find your account, open a session and apply the access rights that match your role.
The normal Google sign-in does not automatically give access to your personal Google Drive files for Learning Space attachments.
For student accounts, read access to the exams folder on Google Drive is granted to your email address, and removed if your role changes.
4. Google Drive and Learning Space attachments
For Learning Space note attachments, Khbich ENSTTIC may ask you to authorise Google Drive separately from the normal Google sign-in. This separate authorisation uses the Google scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file.
This authorisation is used to create or find a folder named Khbich Learning Space in your Google Drive, and to upload and delete the attachments linked to your notes from Khbich ENSTTIC. These attachments can be images or PDF files accepted by the application.
The text of your notes is stored in the Khbich database. The attached files themselves, such as photos or PDFs, are stored in your own Google Drive. Khbich only keeps the metadata needed to find these files from the application.
Google Drive access tokens may be saved in encrypted form so that attachments keep working after the authorisation.
Documents sent from the Contribute page are not stored in your Google Drive: they are placed in the Khbich ENSTTIC Google Drive to be checked by the team. A moderator reviewing a contribution gets read access to that file only.
5. Use of data
The data is used to:
- sign you in and keep your session;
- show the resources, dashboards and features that match your role;
- save your Learning Space progress, notes, tasks, quizzes and activity;
- manage note attachments in your Google Drive when you have authorised it;
- protect the platform against abuse, errors or unauthorised access;
- measure traffic and improve how the site works, technically and for learning.
6. Hosting and security
The site is hosted by Vercel and the database by Neon. Khbich ENSTTIC uses secure sessions, access checks on every action, protection against cross-site requests and encryption of stored Google Drive tokens. Configuration secrets are never publicly accessible.
No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. Users should avoid putting sensitive information that their learning does not need into their notes or attachments.
7. Android app
The Khbich Android app shows the same resources as the site and saves your grade calculator marks on your phone. When you sign in to the app, the same rules as on the site apply to your data.
8. Retention and deletion
Account and Learning Space data is kept as long as the account or the matching records exist in the Khbich database. Some tables are linked to the user account and are deleted automatically if that account is deleted.
Notes can be deleted with the features the application provides. When a Learning Space attachment is deleted from Khbich, the application also tries to delete the matching file in Google Drive, then deletes the reference saved in the database.
You can also manage or revoke Khbich ENSTTIC’s access from the security settings of your Google account.
